TSI AND TELEMETRIX INC.
PARTNER FOR CONTENT SOLUTIONS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

News Summary: TSI and Telemetrix Inc. partner to bring an end-to-end business and technical solution to content providers and mobile operators, paving the way for increased content delivery via SMS and equitable revenue sharing.

Tampa, FL – Feb. 7, 2003 – Telemetrix (OTC BB: TLXT) and TSI Telecommunication Services Inc. (TSI), a global communications technology company, today announced an agreement between the two companies that combines TSI’s interoperability expertise with Telemetrix’s connectivity to wireless operators to profitably deliver valuable content to subscribers via short message service (SMS). Telemetrix Inc. is a GSM PCS licensee operating in BTA-411 in western Nebraska and is a leading telemetry technology developer with patents for M2M SMS data and content.
Under the Telemetrix-TSI agreement, content such as ringtones, logos, pictures, greetings and sports scores will be delivered to wireless subscribers via TSI’s Message Manager service, using Telemetrix connectivity to operators throughout North America. Message Manager is part of TSI’s suite of Mobile Data Solutions, which includes clearing and settlement of mobile data events, SMS, GRX packet data network services and a data marketplace. The suite of services is designed to simplify business relationships and technical operations for operators and content providers, ultimately enabling profitable delivery of mobile data services to subscribers worldwide.
“The delivery of valuable content to wireless subscribers promises to be a significant revenue opportunity for North American wireless operators, but operators have been hesitant to open their networks, and content providers need support for future content development,” said Michael Tracy, Telemetrix president and CEO. “Telemetrix’s agreement with a highly trusted company such as TSI brings a new level of comfort to operators and creates an opportunity to encourage more development from content providers, setting the stage for SMS to take off in North America as it has in Europe.”
Michael O’Brien, TSI vice president - marketing, said “U.S. consumers already buy more than 50,000 ring tones each day for about $1 per ring tone. Predictions are that in 2003, ring tones will become the leading content delivered over wireless devices, amounting to $50 million per year for the industry. This agreement gives wireless operators and content providers the tools necessary to take advantage of the tremendous market opportunity that SMS content delivery presents.”
